Monoester of palmitic acid and isopropyl alcohol, used as a solvent for printing inks. Contains no volatile solvents and is used in various printing processes (sheet-fed, offset and ceramic). It can also be used in textile auxiliaries or water-immiscible metalworking oils and as a release agent in foundries.
