Aqueous solution of xylenesulfonic acid. Often used as a catalyst in phenol-formaldehyde and phenol-formaldehyde-urea resins. Particularly useful as an additive in the foundry industry to aid the production of sand cores and moulds in cold setting systems using phenolic and furan resins.
