Calm & Clear Redness Correct Cream

Counteract redness with this calm and clear formulation. Formulated with Inflamox™ Plus, a natural, oil-soluble botanical blend of Rosemary, Ginger and Turmeric extracts in Cranberry Seed Oil. Inflamox™ Plus provides potent anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory activity making it an ideal choice for this skin soothing formulation.

1) In a suitably-sized side kettle, weigh Phase A and begin propeller mixing while heating to 85-90C.

2) In a separate vessel, pre-blend Phase B to a uniform slurry. Slowly add to side kettle while propeller mixing. Ensure complete uniformity prior to continuing. Continue to mix and heat to 85-90C.

3) Slowly add Phase C ingredients to side kettle, one at a time, and disperse completely. Ensure each ingredient is completely dispersed prior to adding the next.

4) In a suitably-sized main kettle, weigh Phase D and heat to 55-65C While homogenizing. Mix with the main kettle within the temperature range for at least 10-15 minutes to ensure complete development of the powder.

5) When the main kettle is uniform, switch to propeller mixing and add Phase E ingredients while heating to 85-90C. (*Note: If needed, Phase E can be weighed and melted separately before being incorporated to the main kettle).

6) When both kettles are uniform and at temperature, switch main kettle to homogenizer mixing. Slowly add side kettle to main kettle while homogenizing, and mix for an additional 30 seconds - 2 minutes/100g final batch size. (*Note: Mixing can be switched to propeller mixing if main kettle becomes too viscous for homogenization).

7) Switch main kettle to side-sweep mixing with cooling. Cool to room temperature, making sure all parts of the kettle are being agitated to prevent the formation of cooling lumps/gel balls.

8) When main kettle is at room temperature, drop into appropriate containers through in-line homogenizer (*if possible).
