Nourish and Protect Spray

Hydrate and protect skin with this milky spray formulation.

1.) In a suitably-sized main kettle, weigh Phase A and begin propeller mixing while heating to 45-50C.

2.) In a separate vessel, pre-blend Phase B to a uniform slurry. Slowly add Phase B slurry to main kettle while mixing. Continue to mix and heat to 45-50C.

3.) In a suitably-sized side kettle, weigh Phase C and mix while heating to 45-50C. Phase C should be completely molten at temperature.

4.) When main kettle is completely uniform and at temperature, switch to homogenizer mixing and maintain temperature

5.) When both kettles are completely uniform and at temperature, slowly add side kettle to main kettle while homogenizing. Continue mixing at temperature for 30 seconds - 1 minute/100g final batch size.

6.) When main kettle is uniform, switch to side sweep or propeller mixing with cooling. Cool main kettle to <50C before continuing.

7.) When main kette reaches <50C, add Phase D ingredient and mix until uniform.

8.) When main kettle is uniform, check specs and adjust as needed with ingredients listed in Phase E.

9.) When main kettle is uniform and in spec, homogenize for an additional 30 seconds - 2 minutes/100g final batch size. Ensure main kettle is still in spec and cool with side sweep or propeller mixing to room temperature, then drop into appropriate containers.
